Barkada House is a membership-powered cultural campus at Idea Foundry that brings together artists, founders, chefs, musicians, filmmakers, civic leaders, organizations, and neighbors through public programming, production spaces, hospitality, and curated cultural experiences.
Membership powers the campus. Public programming is for everyone. Members get priority access, studio time, and curated experiences.
✦ The Name
Barkada
The name comes from the Filipino word for a close group of friends — the people you gather with, eat with, return to. That idea is the architecture of everything we do.
Barkada House is rooted in Franklinton, Columbus, inside Idea Foundry — one of the country's most storied maker and creative communities. This isn't a private club bolted onto a neighborhood. It's a cultural campus built from within one, with neighbors, institutions, and artists who already call this corner of the city home.

Barkada House doesn't replace the Columbus creative ecosystem — it deepens it. Seven resident organizations on 10-year anchor leases share the campus: Music Columbus, Atelier 411 Studios, Film Columbus, Cinema Columbus, A Tribe for Jazz, ProMusica Chamber Orchestra, and the Columbus Jazz Orchestra.
Culture belongs here. Artists can afford to be here. Organizations can grow here. Patrons can invest here.
Studio hours tie every tier to the production suite. A portion of premium memberships may be a tax-deductible gift to CAPA.
